Weekend Roundup (3/18-3/20)
🚴 Looking to do some biking? Bike Hudson County is having their first Light-up Ride this Friday night! The approximately 11 mile route will start at Washington Park (Union City), looping through Weehawken and ending at 9th Street Light Rail Station.
🌲Prefer something outdoor & volunteering-focused? Earth Keepers runs volunteer gardening in LSP every Saturday morning (pre-registration required). There's also a Neighborhood Cleanup in Lincoln Park West Saturday afternoon!
🥃 More of a whiskey fan? CoolVines has a free whiskey tasting Saturday evening highlighting Westland Distilling. If you're looking for more variety, check out Jersey City Whiskey Fest Saturday night! Tickets are $70 and include free samples of all spirits vendors.

Earth Keepers in Jersey City: Liberty State Park
9am-12pm at Liberty State Park
Liberty State Park is known to many as a local treasure. Volunteer to maintain this beautiful park while enjoying wonderful views of the harbor, Lady Liberty, and Ellis Island. Volunteers are needed to support various gardening projects including weeding, mulching, clean-up, removing invasive botanical species and planting.
This is a rain or shine project and starts promptly at 9:00 am with the agency contact. We suggest you arrive by 8:45 am. Please note: If you arrive later than 9:00 am at the starting point it's highly likely you will not find the group.

Nothing like Spring to begin cleaning some of Winter's left over debris. We will be near the shoreline so be sure to wear sneakers/boots that you don't mind getting dirty. Wear those old clothes too! Waiver needs to be signed prior to the event.

Rock and Roll Playhouse: Performing The Grateful Dead

The Rock and Roll Playhouse, a family concert series hosted at historic music venues across the country, allows kids to “move, play and sing while listening to works from the classic-rock canon” (NY Times). Performing songs created by the most iconic musicians in rock history, The Rock and Roll Playhouse band offers its core audience of families with children aged ten and under games, movement, stories and an opportunity to rock out in an effort to educate children and explore their creativity. The Rock and Roll Playhouse is an early and often first introduction to a child’s lifelong journey with live music and rock and roll. See you at the show!
