Friday (3/4)

JC MAP Artist Residency Showcase: Fabricio Suarez

  • 10am-2pm Friday & Saturday, 11am-5pm Sunday at Journal Square Transportation Center, Concourse Level

  • Come see Fabricio Suarez's work of large, medium and small oil paintings on canvas, along with an installation and murals. The subject is documenting Jersey City people and moments during the three month residency, through the eyes of Dutch, Spanish and Italian Old Masters. Fabricio has invited onlookers and commuters to sit and pose and experience, and be part of turning a small storefront in community into a vision of renaissance. Paintings show the mood of the day or night, the way the light hits a certain window in the space, the storefront at night, but mainly the people Fabricio gets to make a connection with during his time within the Artist Residency space. Fabricio takes advantage of the rich diversity our city offers, by document commuters and those curious enough to have their portrait painted.

  • It's my pleasure to invite you to our first ever all-ladies Project Greenville show! • Join us for a beautiful collection of artwork, live music, light refreshments and a small glimpse into what many of the older homes in the Greenville area are/were like inside.
