The ambitious and eclectic The Weekender festival will present five bands starting at 6:50 Friday evening, followed by nine acts on Saturday from 3:30 to 11 p.m. Highlights include the Wilco-influenced Americana of Brooklyn’s Looms, Asbury Park’s dream-pop trio Sonic Blume, Jersey City’s hard-rocking duo The Components, Bloomfield teen rockers Rockstar Racecar, Hoboken pop vets Psych-o-Positive, up-and-coming Jersey City singer-songwriter Adrian Danon, the lush, ethereal dream-pop of Royal Blush, the angular art-rock of Papermaker, and the indie-soul of Apollo Sonders.

Billy Hart is one of the most sought-after jazz drummers of his generation, able to perform in diverse contexts ranging from straight-ahead to avant-garde to pop.
