It's been said that wine grapes almost invariably grow in beautiful locales, and there may be no region more beautiful than California's Central Coast. This bounteous area benefits from spectacular ripening qualities of the California sun, but its moderate temperatures and coastal influence help grapes keep a balancing acidity that makes the wines from the area truly interesting due to their freshness and dynamic nature. So, in our effort to keep our summer wine tastings refreshing, we go to this collection of super fresh growing areas over on the west coast.
